I need to stop spamming everyone's F-list. I don't know why when I think I'm -done- posting for awhile... a million entries come to mind.

P.S. Thank you.

It rained all night, the other day. Straight on through the morning. Not hard, just... Slow, gradual... Forever.

The next day at work one of our regulars came up to the counter, to tell us that we had a leak. We had to move some of the horror movies, and cover the area with a plastic trash bag... For lack of a better idea. We set up some buckets around the store, too.
The problem spots, the front of the store- didn't leak at all... but now there's a sagging tile above the horror section, and a few more between that section and the wall- where the New Releases are kept. The water's yellow.

It looked so tacky we joked about wishing it was Halloween, so we could pretend there was a reason for it. Something.

It felt sort of like when you watch a horror movie, and blood starts dripping on the characters from above. We just kept staring and going, "Where is it all coming from?"

The plink plink... of dripping was really starting to creep me out, after awhile. Where it wasn't dripping -through- we could hear it hitting the tile above our heads. Waiting for it to penetrate that tile as well.

It didn't start until nearly 24 hours after the raining had happened. So, I'm guessing it seeped through slow and gradual before actually getting past the surface. My biggest concern was that the leaks are so close to the lights. Sometime today, one or two of the lights went out - the tiles are sagging and brownish in color now. I'm waiting for the electrical fire that burns our store down - so we don't have to wait until December to be closed.

No one else has been leaking this week, but it would take a good chunk of the plaza with it, I think. I refuse to leave anything there overnight now, because of it.

In other news, I was talking to Andrew about how some customers have started saying and asking things about our playing FMA. The second complaints start coming in, we do have to think about not watching it anymore - but everyone swears they're not complaining. They're just leaving and hoping we don't notice.
Surprisingly enough, he jumped to our defense. "Who cares what they think? They have the option of leaving. You're here for however many hours a day or night, and you should be allowed to watch whatever you want to stay happy."

Umm... Thanks. Wow. I kind of get why he'd say so, he likes having the freedom to play whatever he wants. Like The Lion King, and The Lion King II. but still... The idea of him defending our- habitual anime watching. When I subjected him to an hour of it the other day... Seemed immeasurably kind, coming from him.

And, lastly, for tonight anyway... I finished the PVT today. The... Entire thing. I did a price check of every movie in the 12.99 and 9.99 sections, and if they were marked wrong, fixed them and put them in the right place. Miss Potter being 9.99 meant I had to really stretch The Number 23, but- I got everything in the right section, with the right price tag on it, in alphabetical order. I did the 12.99 shelf, the 9.99 shelf, the 5.99 shelf- and the 5.99 rack off to the side. I put all new movies on there, since it was looking pretty thin and I like having it with the larger titles on it. I also moved the used DVDs behind the Hot New Releases, which- I'm sure is bound to get me a complaint or two... because I'm sure Bill wants -something- there, and now it's empty. Maybe I'm just insane.
Andrew did the 2.99 bin, which was helpful - but I generally tell people anything in that bin with a blacked out price is 2.99, incase someone throws a 5, 9 or 12 dollar movie in there... and some of the Poseidons weren't blacked out, even though they are 2.99, now. So, maybe I'll work on fixing that tomorrow.

I also think the Sell Thru needs to be gone through, and re-alphabetized. I've never actually done that, but since I just did the PVT today... I don't think I'm going to have much to do tomorrow, and I'll need something. We also still haven't fixed the bottom shelf... thing. Stupid idea that that was.

All in all, a very quiet and productive day at work... and no electrical fires. Yet.

It's after 5:00 am. I need to move to my room before my mother gets up and kills me for being in here, at this hour.
