I've never had this problem. So, I don't. Usually it's- other people telling me they're too clingy, while I'm sitting there wondering where they get that idea.

Or, that I'm too clingy. Which doesn't surprise me ... although- never directly, like that.

I meant.... more that people who claim to be clingy or just as clingy as me even tend to tell me that they need space from others, including the people they're closest to- and I don't .... have that.

If I care that much about a person I never want time away from them, even if it's- probably healthier and easier to prevent fights with that space.

I put a lot of effort into the carefully crafted facade of 'not clingy'. People seem to have a habit of believing that just because I don't speak or act on something- it's not there.
